What to Expect
We want you to feel comfortable, informed, and confident from the moment you book your first visit. At Align Chiropractic, your care starts with a detailed understanding of your body, your symptoms, and how your nervous system is functioning.
This page walks you through what happens before your first appointment, what to expect during your first visit, and how we build your care plan from there.

Your First Visit
Booking and intake forms
After you book online, we’ll send you the forms you need to complete before your visit. These help us understand your health history, your current concerns, and what you want help with.
Consultation and health history
Your first visit begins with a conversation. We’ll take the time to listen, understand what you’re experiencing, and ask clear questions about your symptoms, your health history, and how the problem is affecting your life.
Whether you’re dealing with headaches, migraines, dizziness, TMJD, brain fog, neck pain, balance issues, or another concern, this step helps us understand the full picture before we begin testing.
CranioCervical and NeuroSpinal Exam
Next, we perform a detailed exam focused on how your head, neck, spine, and nervous system are functioning.
This may include CranioCervical and NeuroSpinal testing, posture and movement checks, neurological assessment, and other specific tests based on your symptoms.
The goal is to identify where there may be blockage, interference, or stress in the system, rather than simply chasing symptoms.
3D imaging and motion studies
When clinically appropriate, we use advanced 3D imaging and motion studies to better understand the alignment, balance, and coordination of your upper neck and head.
This area is the key connection point between your brain and body. More detailed imaging helps us be more precise, specific, and effective with your care.
Balance testing
Because many of our patients come in with dizziness, vertigo, brain fog, balance issues, or post-concussion symptoms, balance testing is often an important part of the first visit.
This helps us understand how your brain and body are coordinating movement, stability, and orientation.
First adjustment
In most cases, your first visit includes your first adjustment. Your adjustment will be specific to your findings and may focus on the upper cervical spine, full spine, or both.
Our goal is to reduce interference, improve communication between the brain and body, and help your system begin moving back toward better balance.
Next steps and scheduling
Before you leave, we’ll explain what we found, answer your questions, and talk through the next step in your care.
Because our care plans are structured, we’ll recommend a plan based on your exam findings, your goals, and the level of support your body needs to create lasting change.

Follow-up Visits
Follow-up visits are focused on helping your body adapt, stabilize, and continue improving.
Most visits include specific chiropractic adjustments based on your findings and how your body is responding. Depending on your needs, we may also include vestibular rehabilitation, stability exercises, SoftWave Tissue Regeneration, or decompression.
As your care progresses, we continue to monitor your symptoms, balance, movement, muscle tension, energy, and overall function. Many patients notice they feel clearer, more balanced, less tense, and more like themselves after the first few visits.
Your care plan may change as your body changes. The goal is always to help you improve as effectively as possible while supporting better long-term function.
