What is MUA?
Manipulation Under Anesthesia (commonly called MUA) is a non-invasive, multidisciplinary treatment for a variety of conditions which cause chronic pain. Procedures scheduled through our office will include a team of at least three doctors including Dr. Bauch, a Medical Professional (MD or DO), and an Anesthesiologist. They will work together to correct spinal dysfunction, improve range of motion, and decrease fibrotic scar tissue. Performed in a surgical suite, MUA allows patients to have the full benefits of manipulative therapy and deep tissue stretching without either pain or the interference of muscle tension.
Dr. Bauch is performing a neck stretch while shoulder resistance is provided by a Medical Doctor who specializes in Pain Management.
